Akram Sweets

Akram Sweets originated as a passion project. A close friend of mine approached me with an idea; a sweets shop with headlined by an internationally trained chef. After countless nights spent sleeping on the floor of the single floor storefront planning and organizing, we achieved a record breaking grand opening that saw us in the headlines of national newspapers and radio shows.
Madina Hospital

In 2020, after nearly 50 years of corrupt management of the national military hospital, I was hired to record the status of the hospital. The following week I spent 12 hours a day documenting every corner of the hospital, compiling all of my findings into a single report. Detailing not only where the shortcomings were, but also the necessary steps to bounce back to former glory.
Mogadishu Book Fair

My partnership with the Mogadishu Book Fair was a direct byproduct of my social media engagement. I was contacted by their team to document their annual book fair event. With quick planning and several years of experience, I was able to produce a satisfactory product that gained viral traction across somali social communities.
